Thursday morning prayer
An opportunity to pray together in person in the morning. This meeting will last around half an hour and will take place at the North Memorial Hall on the second and fourth Thursdays in each month.
These sessions will follow this pattern which is used by the Church of England:
- Preparation – a call to worship and a psalm
- Scripture Readings – to include one or more of a psalm, an Old Testament passage, a canticle or song, and a New Testament passage
- the Benedictus (Luke 1:68–79) said together
- prayers of intercession
- the collect for the day, the Lord’s Prayer (said together) and a simple conclusion
